My Experience

Valentina Francisca Pino Faúndes, Degree in Licenciatura en Artes, Ciencias y Tecnologías de la Comunicación Visual of the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana del Estado de Chile —
Graphic, UX/UI and Service Designer Photographer, Junior e independent illustrator, her work range from analog-digital for diverse organizations around culture, tourism, ecology and inclusion in Chile.

The motivation of studying design has been mostly part of the emotional stages that people interfiere with, before and after using a product/service. The ability of switch behaviours positively to improve people’s lives.
The principal interest of the social trade of design in which I dedicate my studies, is to the understanding of Design in Visual communication from a social perspective, analytic, technologic and communicational, understanding my task in related projects to new entrepreneurship, inclusion, public relations and ecology, achieving solutions starting from a technique-productive solutions like accessibility, photography, illustration and User Experience

EXPERIENCE

2022- 2024

Checksammy
UX/UI designs, creation of new apps and platforms to improve sustainability products. Some of the responsibilities of this job position are:

  • Enhanced app designs, platforms, and landing pages to support business goals focused on sustainability services. Engaged in UX research, engineering, QA, and A/B testing.
  • Successfully launched three distinct products, optimizing their user experience through JTBD, blueprinting, behavioral interviews, wireframing, prototyping, and iterative testing. Identified and addressed stakeholder pain points to deliver precise solutions.
  • Designed and planned responsive landing pages compatible with various devices, including desktops, mobiles, and tablets.
  • Collaborated with the marketing team to set up and analyze A/B tests on landing pages, improving user engagement and conversion rates. Developed and iterated wireframes to enhance product flow.
  • Created visually appealing and user-friendly landing pages aligned with marketing campaign objectives and goals. Utilized UI design techniques to boost conversion rates, including clear calls to action (CTAs), persuasive visuals, and compelling layouts.

2021

Mercury Music
Music instrument sell and distribution in B2B and D2C customers along the country. Graphic design, and Marketing related. Some of the responsibilities:

  • Managed sales and distribution of musical instruments to B2B and D2C customers nationwide, focusing on graphic design and marketing initiatives and stayed updated on industry trends, competitor campaigns, and audience preference
  • Created graphics, images, and videos for various marketing campaigns and social media platforms, produced content such as infographics, banners, and other graphics tailored to the target audience.
  • Developed branding guidelines and maintained a consistent visual identity for new products and campaigns.
  • Managed and curated the visual aspects of social media profiles, including creating and scheduling posts, cover photos, and profile pictures.

2019-2020

Professional practice — Inclusion & accessibility
Centro de Cartografía Táctil

  • Adaptation and design of the educational material from the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC), delivered in public schools for blind children into Macrotype.
  • Designed set off images to be printed in thermoforming, helping kids to understand different images through their fingers.
  • Aligned the original design with all the metrics for “Biology”, in which there is design of all the text of the original book with the specific rules of accessibility.
  • I translated all the pictures and adapt them to macrotype, ensuring they were clear for low vision and blind children (Synthesize of pictures, deleting non relevant information).
